Reporting bugs in HTTP-Downloader
Resonance encourages users to report bugs in HTTP-Downloader. But for the report to get triaged/fixed fast, the bug report need to adhere to our quality guidelines.
How to report a bug in HTTP-Downloader?
The right way of reporting bugs is Settings -> Report a bug / Suggest a feature. In that case app will automatically attach logs along with the mail which will help us to fix the issue as soon as possible. Don’t mail us directly for reporting bugs.
How to prepare a good bug report?
- If it is possible to reproduce the issue, please record your screen reproducing the issue, beginning from app launch, so that we could notice any minute points which are causing trouble.
- Always report bugs through Settings -> Report a bug / Suggest a feature. This will automatically include app’s log files.
- Explain the steps to reproduce the issue in a step wise manner, beginning from app launch
- Please respond to our queries within 24 hours if possible.
How long will it take to fix a bug
Most bugs can be fixed within a day or two. The update with fixes are expected to be released within a week of reporting it. Some non-reproducible bugs may take a while to get fixed.
